#69 Learning is Like a Snow Globe

The image of a snow globe has been on my mind lately. It is the perfect representation of my learning journey over the past couple of years. Maybe you’ll relate to this too.
Sometimes it can feel like all we’ve known has been shaken up and is swirling around without a place to land. But then, if we give it time, the pieces start to fall into place, a new understanding develops and there’s a peace- until the next shake up 😆
In the weeks ahead, I’ll be sharing some of the pieces that have fallen into place for me recently. They all center around transitions and what they can reveal. But it’s so much more than just asking for a transition- it’s an opportunity to deepen our understanding of our horses and ourselves.
There are 5 different realizations I’ll share stretching from something I learned from Nate Bowers a decade ago all the way to the recent clinic I took with Harry Whitney. With nuggets from John and Kathy Baar, Linda Parelli and Charley Snell in between.
Originally, I was going to write about all 5 in one blog post… the snow started swirling with where to start and how to fit it all in. It started to look like a LONNNNGGGG post.
I gave it a few minutes to let the snowflakes settle around the question, “what would be the best way to navigate this?” The flakes settled and the answer came- SMALL posts!! 5 of them.
